Welcome to Hyperspace. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our platform and services. By using Hyperspace, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Hyperspace
Hyperspace is a local delivery marketplace operated by Lorenz Technologies, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at:

We connect customers with independent merchants in Bristol, providing same-day delivery services from local businesses.
2. Using Our Service
2.1 Eligibility
To use Hyperspace, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Be located within our delivery areas (currently Bristol BS1-11, BS13-16, and BS34)
- Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
2.2 Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Keeping your account information accurate and up-to-date
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access
3. Orders and Payments
3.1 Placing Orders
When you place an order through Hyperspace, you are entering into a contract with the merchant to purchase goods. We act as an intermediary to facilitate the transaction and delivery.
3.2 Pricing
- All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable
- Prices are set by individual merchants and may vary
- Delivery fees are clearly displayed before checkout
- Order bundling may reduce delivery costs when shopping from multiple merchants in the same postcode area
3.3 Payment
We use Stripe to process payments securely. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Payment is taken at the time of order.
3.4 Order Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation for each order. Please ensure your email address is correct so you receive important updates about your order status.
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery Areas
We currently deliver to Bristol postcodes BS1-11, BS13-16, and BS34. We may expand or modify our delivery areas at any time.
4.2 Delivery Times
- Orders placed by 3pm are typically delivered by 10pm the same day
- Delivery windows are estimates and may vary based on demand and circumstances
- Merchants set their own preparation times which affect delivery schedules
4.3 Delivery Requirements
- You must provide an accurate delivery address
- Someone must be available to receive the delivery
- Photo proof of delivery may be taken for confirmation
5. Cancellations and Refunds
5.1 Order Cancellation
You may cancel an order before the merchant begins preparing it. Once preparation has started, cancellation may not be possible.
5.2 Refunds
- If an order is cancelled before preparation, you will receive a full refund
- If items are missing or incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours
- Refunds are processed to your original payment method
- Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment provider
6. Merchant Terms
If you register as a merchant on Hyperspace, additional terms apply:
6.1 Merchant Responsibilities
- Accurate product listings with correct descriptions and pricing
- Maintaining adequate stock levels
- Timely order preparation as specified in your settings
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Food safety standards (for applicable products)
6.2 Payments to Merchants
- Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect
- Payout schedules are determined by Stripe's policies
- Platform fees (if applicable) are deducted from payouts
7. Intellectual Property
The Hyperspace name, logo, and all content on our platform are owned by Lorenz Technologies or our licensors. You may not use our intellectual property without permission.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use our platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with the operation of our platform
- Submit false or misleading information
- Engage in fraudulent transactions
- Harass merchants, delivery partners, or other users
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We provide our platform "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for the quality of products sold by merchants
- We are not liable for delays or failures beyond our reasonable control
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Beta Service
Hyperspace is currently operating as a beta service. This means:
- Features and availability may change without notice
- We may experience occasional service interruptions
- We appreciate your patience and feedback as we improve
- Current promotional pricing and terms may change after the beta period
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through our platform. Continued use of Hyperspace after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
